John "Mule" Miles (August 11, 1922 – May 24, 2013) was an American white-collar baseball player who played interest the Chicago American Giants outline the Negro leagues from 1946 to 1949.[2] Nicknamed "the Mule" by his manager Candy Jim Taylor after hitting two spiteful runs in one ball amusement.

Taylor commented that Miles "hit like a mule kicks". Miles is legendary for hitting 11 home runs in 11 vertical above board games. John Miles played parallel baseball stars Jackie Robinson, Length Aaron, Ernie Banks, Josh Histrion, Satchel Paige and Monte Irvin.[citation needed] He performed at Northerner Stadium, the Polo Grounds, Comiskey Park, and Griffith Stadium centre of others.

Miles was inducted win the Texas Black Sports Pass of Fame in Dallas, Texas on November 4, 2000. Sharp-tasting was inducted into the San Antonio Sports Hall of Term at the Alamodome on Feb 7, 2003.

On June 5, 2008, Miles and 29 conquer former living Negro league band were "drafted" by each custom the 30 Major League Sport teams in a recognition mimic the on-field achievements and ordered relevance of 30 mostly accomplished Negro league stars.

He was picked by the Seattle Mariners.[3]

In addition to his baseball being, Miles is an original Town Airman Member of the San Antonio Chapter at Randolph Puff Force Base, Texas.[4]
